If any of you were to remember, it was back in 2016 when South Beach Residences launched its preview under much hype but halted sales citing imperfect timing to launch project. After much anticipation and better market conditions, South Beach Residences was released last year in 2018.

South Beach Residences is a mixed development located along 28 Beach Road, and will comprise of residential units, a 5 star hotel, upscale Grade A Officers, Retail spaces, Ballrooms and Dining areas. It is developed by City Developments (CDL) and IOI Group, and will cover approximately 500,000 sq feet of office space, 37,000 sq ft of retail space and a 29,000 sq ft of private club. CDL is one of the most renowned developers in Singapore, with a portfolio of over 40,000 homes including New Futura, Whistler Grand and The Tapestry.
Where can you find South Beach Residences?
A quick inspection shows that South Beach Residences is just a 2 minutes walk to reach Esplanade MRT station, which is connected to the Circle Line. As you can see from the image below, there are quite a number of eateries littered along the vicinity of South Beach Residences as well.
Some of the key stations include Promenade just a 2 minutes MRT ride away, which links to Downtown Line. Another would be Dhoby Ghaut MRT station, which is a 4 minutes MRT ride away that connects to North South Line and North East Line.
If you want to go to East-West Line, you can take a 12 minutes MRT ride to reach Paya Lebar that is just 6 stops away.

Final Thoughts on South Beach Residences
I do think that when it comes to properties in the CBD area, the demand will always be prevalent. The convenience when it comes to reaching the central area is undeniable, and the amount of amenities offered in the region is also another factor to consider. Even the education opportunities are more accessible, with Singapore Management University (SMU) and School of the Arts (SOTA) just within walking distance.

Understandably, central is an accessible area to a range of amenities. Many buyers at this point would still prefer to live near the central region as it gives them a great deal of convenience within their lifestyles. If you are looking for a good investment with a bigger budget, a good central location like this is something to consider.
